Photo Repository |
Step 1. |
eStoreFront keeps all your photo images in one central location called Photo Repository
strickly for your site's account use in the icloud | server. This design arrangement gives your store the capability
to reuse or cross map images to as many product items you deem appropriate most efficiently. The only caveat is to keep
filename unique or the existing file will be overwritten without any warning. |
Step 2. |
From "Administration" Menu - select "Photo Repository". It will bring-up all the photo images currently
residing in your repository. You may upload multiple pictures at once from your device provided the total size is less
than 10 Meg per upload. Therefore, it is recommended to prepare your photos prior, keep the dimensions more or less around
640 x 480 pixels (in .jpg, .png, or .gif file formats only) for better aestetics, quality and quicker display in any browser.
There are many popular softwares available to accomplish this. Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Fireworks works great. Many digital
cameras usually comes with software as well just like popular operating system like MS Windows. |
Step 3. |
Spawning photo repository from Inventory form allow you to directly mapped selected photos to the record but inhibits
photo deletion. Only by spawning photo repository from "Administration Menu" makes deletion maintenance available. |
Step 4. |
When ever you upload images, eStoreFront automatically creates thumbnail versions (100x100 px). These version of images
are used when a potential buyer browses product listings or site's storefront display. This method brings a very quick rendering
of your store site listings in any browser. The full blow images are only used when a visitor is zoomed into the full details
of a specific listing. If the photo you uploaded is larger than 640x480, it will be resize to this limit, rejected or an upload error maybe
generated, therefore it is very important to prepare your images prior to upload. |
